Hey there Last time I visited NYC was in 2004 - and I found it really irritating that people actually pose and smile in front of ground zero. I see it's not just me who thinks it's kinda weird. However - great shots, like them a lot. -Atomic from London

I like the image. Agree with John that it's a little crowded on the right but other then that I don't think it's insipid. Might give a good series with all those posing people together.

Mike from Randombanner, thanks for your comment as well! I do also think that it's kind of weired seeing all those tourists and groups happily posing for photos on Ground Zero or at other places were terrible things happend. Strange way society behaves nowadays...

John, thanks a lot for your critique! I appreciate that a lot. I like getting constructive criticism. Honest and direct! I also like Martin Parrs work, he's a good photographer with a "special" eye. Thanks again, I am trying to get better all the time.

i like the inclusion of the guy with the flute, but the picture tends to get really "muddy" on the right. and also, it is too insipid. nothing's going on, aesthetically speaking. although it is a non-political picture, martin parr, with the tower of pisa, created a much better image with this kind of subject (tourists).

Maybe it's just me, but there's just something wrong about all the people that pose in front of Ground Zero and smile. I like your photo though.
