I'm always concerened about large blocks of detailess shadow in my B+W but here I can see it really can work because it frames the action nicely. My apologies if there's actually tons of shadow detail in this shot I'm not seeing in the online version. I like the rhythm and the motion, I like the highlight in the reflection of the car contrasted against the guy with the luggage it sums up many busy mornings for me. John

I like the elongated shadows martin. I took a simular photo in vienna next to a rail road crossing on the way from st polten riding bike to vienna. I will show it to you this week.

Shadows of buisy people Since my last two posts have been color photography I needed to post a black and white photo again. I do not feel very comfortable using color in my pictures. It doesn't mean I don't like color, I just personally find it very hard to do good looking color shots. I admire good color photography like the ones of Alex Webb who does not only do beautifull color photography but also has a very unique style. He is of course only one example that just came to my mind. Since I had a realy nice and relaxing week with my girlfriend I will now focus more on my own photography again. Just updated my list of possible topics I want to work on. There is so much to do... Oh and yes the above photograph is dark. It's meant to be! Posted by Martin Fuchs on May 23, 2005 11:51 PM
