Galleries today - Meetings tomorrow

I just came home from the opening of "The 10 Show" at the Chelsea Market in Manhattan. "The 10 Show" is a group exhibition of 10 photojournalists who each are represented by one story. One of them is Magnum Photographer Jonas Bendiksen. It's a nice show. The photographs are scattered around the whole area (which is kind of nice because people who just walk through the market get to see them but the shown prints are to small. But if you are in the area it's well worth a visit.

In the afternoon I went to the "Luhring Augustine" gallery together with Nick who also works for Magnum. We saw the "Sweet Earth: Experimental Utopias in America" exhibition by Joel Sternfeld. A nice exhibition with environmental portraits and really great prints to see.

I took the day off tomorrow because I have a bunch of meetings. Origianally I was supposed to meet someone from the "Black Veterans for Social Justice" but this meeting was postponed. So I'll meet Jonas Bendiksen first to talk about his website (got to do something about it) and in the afternoon I'll meet Chris Anderson to do the next photographers interview with him. Expect the first interview (with Simon Wheatley) to be published next week. More tomorrow.
