Habe gerade deine Website über den Link auf Canon CPS gefunden. Sehr interessant. Mag die Kombination aus Texten und Bildern. Weiter so!

Fallen out photoshooting / Rental car without drivers license

I am going to take off to Alex Webb's Workshop in Woodstock tomorrow morning. Not without having a bad evening first...

Gemma, a co-worker at Magnum asked me this afternoon if I wanted to make some fun shots this evening. A friend of a friend of her is trying to start a new business. Some sort of a crazy idea. He has this pimped and sexed up bike wich he wants to use together with a couple of young sexy girls to sell ice cream on the streets. Hotties Ice... He was in desperate need for some photographs he could use on his website.
I thought it might be fun to photograph these girls with their ice cream at night on the streets of Washington Heigths asking some strangers to pose together with them using the off-camera flash I got from Canon while I was in Vienna.
So I went home early to put all my stuff together and went to Washington Heights which is on the north end of Manhattan. It took me about an hour and fifteen minutes to get there. I met this guy in his apartment, a couple of other people and two girls. Nobody seemed to be in a hurry although I told them that I need to pick up my rental car until 10:00pm. This guy was totally stressed and crazy. A weird situation. The girls seemed bored... After an hour of sitting around I decided to leave since noone was ready...

This was the first thing which really pissed me off. The second one followed. I took a cab to East 90th Street to get to the rental car company before they close. A ride which cost me almost 16 dollars. When I arrived their I noticed that I had left my drivers license in my apartment in the Bronx... Actually getting a rental car without being able to show your drivers license is a tough task. Too tough for me. Of course I didn't get it.
Fortunatly one of my new roommates Kelly drove all the way up to New York from Florida. She was so nice to lend me her car for the weekend. I'll go to bed now and hope that my weekend will be better. Have to get up at 05:00am tomorrow morning...
